中國社科院前日發布首份《全球環境競爭力報告》，對一二年全球一百三十三個國家的環境競爭力進行排名，中國僅名列第八十七位，若單看個別項目其成績更令人汗顏，其中空氣質量的排名是全球尾二，而生態環境競爭力亦是倒數第九。
國務院發展研究中心副主任韓俊表示，這排名反映了中國當前嚴峻的資源環境狀況，亦反映了加快轉變經濟發展方式的緊迫性。據悉，目前中國三分之二的城市缺水，亦有六成城市屬資源枯竭型。
